Our story

In 2019, four of us met at the Harare Gardens gate at 05:30 because none of us wanted to run alone. There was no club, no kit, no route plan - just an agreement to be there again on Thursday.

Seven years on, the agreement hasn't changed. What changed is the number of people keeping it: teachers, nurses, students, kombi drivers, a 63-year-old grandmother who out-kicks most of the men. We run Enterprise Road on Tuesdays and head for the Domboshava trails on Saturdays. We coach for free, we pace for free, and we finish with whoever is last.

The 263 in our name is the country code. It is the part we carry to every start line, from the Victoria Falls Marathon to Two Oceans in Cape Town.

Farayi Matare

Started running in January 2025 and found it was never only about the running. Co-founded the club to build the community she kept looking for at races.

Vongai Violet Bayiwa

Began running through the COVID years, when movement was both an outlet and a necessity. Co-founded the club so that showing up would feel social rather than competitive.
